Legal Technology

Legal software that
fee earners use
without complaining.

The legal sector's technology problem is not a shortage of tools - it's a surplus of tools nobody uses. We build legal software with the same rigour applied to client work: clear scope, careful implementation, and an honest conversation when something won't actually solve the underlying problem.

Every type of legal software - built for the people who actually use it

Legal technology has a low bar to clear, because most of what exists was built by people who misunderstood how lawyers actually work. We start by learning the workflows, then build software that fits them - not the other way around.

01

Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM)

End-to-end contract platforms covering creation, negotiation, approval, execution, and post-signature obligation tracking. Template libraries with clause-level version control, red-lining workflows that lawyers will actually adopt, e-signature integration, and the obligation monitoring that turns executed contracts into managed commitments rather than filed documents.

AI-Powered Document Review

Machine learning models trained on legal document sets - not off-the-shelf LLMs given a prompt - for clause extraction, risk flagging, comparison against playbooks, and due diligence acceleration. We build the data pipeline, the review interface, and the feedback loop that makes the model improve with each reviewed document.

Matter Management & Practice Management

Bespoke matter management systems for law firms and in-house teams that do not want to pay enterprise licences for features they will never use. Time recording, work allocation, deadline tracking, client reporting, and integration with billing systems - configured for how your practice actually operates, not a generic legal workflow.

Client Portals & Legal Self-Service

Secure client-facing portals for law firms and legal services businesses - document sharing with audit trails, matter status visibility, e-signature, instructing workflows, and the kind of interface that makes clients feel like they are receiving a premium service rather than chasing emails. SRA-compliant data handling throughout.

Legal Document Automation

Document assembly platforms that turn a form submission into a populated, jurisdiction-correct legal document in under 60 seconds. Wills, leases, employment contracts, letters before action, and bespoke documents - all generated from conditional logic trees that your legal team owns and updates without developer help.

Legal Data & Analytics Platforms

Dashboards, reporting tools, and data platforms that give heads of legal and managing partners actual visibility into practice performance - matter profitability, lawyer utilisation, WIP aging, and the early warning indicators that stop a write-off conversation from being a surprise at month-end.

Four phases. Lawyers involved at every one.

Legal software built without significant lawyer input at the design stage gets exactly the adoption rates it deserves. We involve the people who will actually use the product from week one - not just for UAT at the end.

Legal Discovery

We shadow the workflows, interview fee earners and support staff, audit existing tools, and document the process gaps before writing a single requirement. Most build failures are requirement failures.

Design & Architecture

UX design for legal professionals - which means simpler than you think, not more elaborate. System architecture that accounts for privilege, confidentiality, and data segregation from the start.

Build & Iterate

Fortnightly sprints with working software demonstrated to real users - not the IT team. Early access for a pilot group of fee earners before full rollout, with feedback incorporated before the next sprint.

Launch & Adoption

Deployment and training for legal professionals who did not ask for new software. We design the rollout and onboarding to achieve genuine adoption - because software nobody uses was a waste of everyone's time.

Phased firm-wide rollout
Role-based training materials
Help documentation in plain English
30-day post-launch support

Production-grade tooling - chosen for legal data requirements.

Every choice is made with confidentiality, audit trail, and data integrity requirements in mind.

What law firms and GCs ask us before they start

Honest answers on privilege, data handling, adoption, and what separates legal technology that gets used from legal technology that gets abandoned. Ask us directly for anything not covered here.

Privilege architecture is a first-week design decision, not a retrospective control. We design data models with matter-level access controls, strict privilege walls between client matters, and audit logs on every document access. No matter data crosses into another matter's context - including AI model inputs. Our systems are designed so that accidental disclosure of privileged material through software is architecturally impossible, not just policy-restricted.
Never. Client documents are never used to train or fine-tune models that will be used by other clients. When we build AI features, we either use models the client already has licensing rights to, fine-tune on a client's own document corpus in an isolated environment, or use retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) that does not modify the underlying model. This is documented contractually before any AI feature is built.
Usually yes. We have built integrations with Clio, iManage, NetDocuments, SOS Connect, Leap, Lawmatics, and a number of bespoke legacy practice management systems. The integration approach depends on what APIs are available - we will audit your current system in the discovery phase and tell you what is possible and at what cost before any build begins.
By involving them before the design is finished, not after the build. We run shadow sessions with actual users in week one, prototype with a small pilot group before full rollout, and design the onboarding for people who have more important things to do than learn new tools. We also work with your IT and BD teams on the change management piece - because the adoption plan matters as much as the software.
All production data is hosted in UK data centres by default - AWS eu-west-2 (London) or Azure UK South. We do not use third-party processors that transfer data outside the UK or EEA without explicit written consent and the appropriate safeguards. For firms with international offices, we can architect multi-region setups with appropriate data isolation per jurisdiction.
Most bespoke legal software builds run between $45,000 and $150,000 depending on scope, and take 12–20 weeks from kick-off to launch. AI document review tools and CLM platforms sit at the larger end. We scope every engagement precisely - with a line-item breakdown - before you commit. We do not do open-ended hourly engagements for builds; everything is fixed-scope so you know what you are getting and what it costs.
