Staff Augmentation at Scale

Senior engineers,
inside your team.
Not an agency.

The engineers we place are not contractors on the periphery. They join your Slack, attend your standups, work your sprint rhythm, and take ownership of features the same way a direct hire would - because that is the only version of staff augmentation that actually works.

Not all staff augmentation
is the same thing

01

Embedded, Not External

Our engineers do not sit in a separate delivery stream. They join your engineering org - your tools, your processes, your sprint cadence - and take the same accountability as a direct hire. The only difference is who signs the paycheck.

Typical agency
Managed separately from product team
No code ownership or accountability
Hand-off overhead at project end
Knowledge walks out when contract ends
Sequere
Embedded in your team structure
Owns features end-to-end
Works your sprint rhythm and tools
Stays long enough to matter
02

Senior, Not Junior

We do not place graduate-level engineers and bill them as seniors. Everyone we place has a minimum of five years of production experience in their primary stack, with verifiable references from previous engagements. You interview before you commit.

Typical agency
CVs optimised, not experience-optimised
Juniors working unsupervised on production
No validation before placement
Surprise quality issues after onboarding
Sequere
Minimum 5yr production experience
Technical interview before placement
Reference-checked and vetted
Trial period so you can verify fit
03

Scale Up or Down

A team of two that becomes eight is manageable. We have the bench depth to match your hiring plan - whether you need one additional backend engineer for three months, or a complete cross-functional team for an eighteen-month product build.

Typical agency
Rigid headcount commitments
Long lead times for team changes
Misaligned seniority mix
Minimum contract terms that don't fit
Sequere
Flex from 1 to 20+ engineers
New members onboarded in days
Matched to your actual seniority needs
Monthly rolling terms available
04

You Always Own the Work

IP, codebase, and institutional knowledge belong to you - not us. We document as we go, conduct architecture reviews throughout the engagement, and run a structured knowledge transfer before any team member transitions out.

Typical agency
IP ambiguity in contractor agreements
Black-box knowledge retention
Codebase opacity at engagement end
Re-hiring dependency after contract
Sequere
Full IP assignment in all contracts
Living documentation as standard
Architecture reviews each quarter
Structured off-boarding for every team member

Every engineering discipline.
All senior-level.

We place individual contributors and team leads across the full engineering stack - from product engineering and data to DevOps and mobile. Everything listed here is available now or within two weeks.

From brief to first commit
in under two weeks.

We have placed enough engineers to know that a slow, bureaucratic onboarding kills momentum. Our process is designed to get your new team member shipping in their first sprint.

What teams ask before they start

Honest answers on vetting, contracts, team management, and what happens if the fit is not right. Ask us directly if yours is not here.

Every engineer goes through a three-stage process before they can be placed: a technical screening with one of our senior engineers, a take-home project reviewed against real production standards, and a reference check with two previous managers or clients. We also run a short pair-programming session for roles that require close collaboration. If we would not hire them ourselves, we do not place them.
We offer a two-week free trial on every placement. If it is not working out - technically or culturally - you tell us and we replace the engineer at no additional cost. We do not charge for the trial period if the placement does not proceed. This is not small print; it is how we operate.
You manage them, day to day. They report into your engineering org, attend your standups, and take direction from your tech leads and PMs. We stay in the background: a monthly check-in call with you, and an open channel for the engineer if they need support. We are not a managed service - you get engineers who work like your own team.
Mid-level (3–5 years), senior (5–10 years), and staff/principal engineers (10+ years). We do not place juniors in augmentation roles because the supervision overhead typically undermines the value. If you need a junior-heavy team, we suggest our dedicated squad model where our own tech lead provides the mentorship structure.
Most placements are presented within 48 hours of receiving a brief. Interview to signed contract typically takes three to five days. The engineer can be onboarded and in their first sprint within ten to fourteen days of initial brief. For urgent situations, we have placed engineers who were coding in production within a week.
Everything they wrote belongs to you - this is documented in the IP assignment that is signed before any engineer starts. We also require engineers to complete a structured knowledge transfer before any transition: living documentation updated, open PRs closed or handed over, and a handover session with your team. The goal is that their departure is uneventful.
Yes. Around 40% of our current placements are with companies in the EU, US, and APAC. Engineers are available across time zones - we are careful to match timezone overlap with your team when making placements. All contracts are in English and governed by English law unless you prefer otherwise.
